Music
"If I ever die of a heart attack I hope it will be from playing my stereo too loud."
Franz Ferdinand or Artic Monkeys? Snoop Dog or Eminem? Whatever music you love or hate you will have something to say about it. What was the first CD you ever bought? What music gets you through when you're feeling down? What makes you feel good every time you hear it?
There will be a chance to hear some new stuff, learn how to download tracks from the net, swap and burn favourites to disc.
If you want to have a go on a real instrument we have guitars and keyboards too.
James Blunt Concert
I went to see James Blunt at the SECC in Glasgow in February. The show was a sell out and was the first show of his UK tour so I was really looking forward to going to it with my friend. When we arrived we had a look at the things they had for sale, tshirts, mugs, programmes, posters and key rings. I bought a programme and my friend bought a pink tshirt with ‘You’re beautiful’ on the front. We found our seats which were really central so we had a great view of the stage and the screens. The supporting act was a guy called Jason Mraz who sang and played the guitar and was very good. Then we had to wait for James Blunt to start, his first song was a new song which seemed a lot more upbeat than the current album. He then rattled off most of the current album with some new cheerier material and the finale had to be ‘You’re beautiful’, everyone was singing along and holding their mobiles up to let others listen in, an excellent end to the concert! I would definitely recommend going to see him live if you get the chance!
