CAT Team - East Lothian

Who are they?
The CAT (Central Assessment Team) are based in Haddington and they work with young people aged 16 to 21 in East Lothian who are or think they are going to be homeless.

What do they do?
They'll give you your own adviser who can help you find accommodation, get money and benefits sorted and give you all-round support while you get sorted.

Homeless in Midlothian

Who do I contact?
Midlothian Council ensures that information and advice about homelessness is available free of charge to anyone in Midlothian and there is a dedicated homelessness team based in Dalkeith.

What do they do?
The team provide advice on housing options and assisting homelessness persons to make a homeless application.

How do I contact them?
You can visit a homelessness officer at our local council office at Buccleuch House, 1 White Hart Street, EH22 1AE or by telephoning the homelessness unit on 0131 271 3618/3617/3613( during office hours) to seek advice or make an appointment.

If it is an emergency, a homelessness officer will see you as quickly as possible. For out of hours emergencies there is a 24 hour, seven days a week standby service, phone 0131 663 7211.
