Health
Want to get a bit fitter??Ever been running for the bus or going up the stairs and thought it would be so much better if you could manage it without running out of breath and sweating??
Well why not come along to Bridges on a Wednesday at 2pm where we'll do some exercise and look at easy ways to stay healthy. You could try aerobics, badminton, football, basketball, you name it we'll try it.
How healthy are you?
Have you had any eye test in the last 2 years?
If not we can help you make an appointment. Remember It's a good idea to
get your eyes checked out because sight problems can cause headaches
because your eyes need to strain to help with reading.
Do you eat 5 bits of fruit and veg every day?
Remember its important to eat 5 different pieces of fruit and veg a day
(5 apples only count as 1 portion and chips don't count!) Eating 5 pieces
keeps your body and brain healthy and makes it easier for you to get better
if you fall ill.
Would you say you take enough exercise?
To keep your body and mind healthy and active it's a good idea to try and do
30 minutes of exercise every day. This doesn't mean you have to go for a run
for 30 minutes it can be simple things like getting off the bus earlier, using
the stairs or coming along to Bridges on a Wednesday where we'll be trying all
different kinds of exercise!
