Film Review: Corpse Bride
by Laura
Me, Diane, Gill and Helen went to see The Corpse Bride, by Tim Burton starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter at the UCI Craig Park.
I personally did not like the film because I thought it was boring and more suitable for children (5-8 years).
The story is about a guy called Victor who can't say his wedding vows properly (he's getting married to a girl called Victoria) so he practices them in the woods and puts his wedding ring on a twig which turns out to be a skeleton hand. The skeleton, Emily, chases Victor round the forest because she thinks he's her husband but he's scared! Emily takes Victor to the world below, where all the dead people live. The weddings not legal because she's dead and he's alive so they go to a church in the world of the living. At the church Victoria is there about to marry someone else because Victor's been missing, this guy is Emily's murderer. The people from the world below kill the murderer, Emily's a free spirit and Victor and Victoria get married!
