Literacy & Numeracy

Personal Tutor

We often see young people who have dyslexia or who just haven’t got on well at school. Our Personal Tutor can work one-to-one with young people to help them achieve the levels of literacy and numeracy they need to cope with work, college and everyday life. The focus is on achieving your goals and the Personal Tutor will use whatever you are most interested in to practise reading, writing and numbers. This could be football, cooking, soap operas, movies or anything that really appeals to you.

Who does our Personal Tutor work with?

  • Young people aged 14-21
  • Young people still at school
  • Young people who have left school

For young people who have left school without any qualifications we can offer community based qualifications.

ENTRIES MUST BE LEGIBLE AND SUBMITTED TO CORINNE BEFORE 12:00 ON FRIDAY 4 MARCH.

Ryan Says:

"I liked getting a shot on the electric guitar and amp. It made lots of feedback and sounded like the amp was haunted.I have been into the guitar since I was 14 and I enjoy playing together with other folk. Although I wasn’t too keen on the song we recorded at the Bridge Centre- Rock DJ by Robbie Williams we all worked together and it came out ok."
