Way2Work Certificates

The best way for young people to learn about the realities of the world of work is in a real workplace. We understand that this can be quite daunting for young people so our Way2Work Programme helps to prepare you for a work practice placement. You will get the opportunity to learn all the skills that employers really value before linking in with an employer and practicing these. This could be just a few hours a week if that’s what suits you best up to a full-time placement. This will help you to have something to put on your CV, get an up-to-date reference and prove that you are ready to take on a job. There is no payment for a work practice placement but the experience could mean the difference between you or someone else getting the job.

“I wish it was open to more people as I think it’s brilliant – all kids could do with this! They do such a lot of practical stuff, like how to dress appropriately, and it’s really tailored to the individual. I’ve been very impressed and now that I’ve got to know the project better I hope to be able to tap into what Bridges have to offer for some of our teenage parents.”
