Bridges Project offers limited structured placements to volunteers. We have an excellent partnership with Project Scotland who place full time volunteers with us to work directly with young people for a period of three months. We are also very happy to explore possibilities for EVS placements, though housing costs can be prohibitive. We accept volunteers referred by local volunteer bureaux when the need arises and where there is a good fit between our needs and what a potential volunteer has to offer. All volunteers are placed with us subject to satisfactory references and, where necessary, must be eligible for membership of the PVG scheme in Scotland.
Students are a valuable resource who bring a range of skills and experiences which benefit the young people who use Bridges Project. We are very happy to offer student placements across the range of relevant disciplines. Demand for placements is very high and we are, unfortunately, unable to accommodate every request. If you are interested in undertaking a placement with us please give us a call.
We value our interns, volunteers and students and the benefits they bring to our work. We aspire to offer interesting and challenging placement experiences. All are provided with training and other development opportunities to enhance the experience. We support our interns, students and volunteers to move to positive destinations, including higher and post graduate education, vocational training and paid employment.
