Personal Tutor

The personal tutor works with young people to increase their literacy, numeracy and ICT skills as well as their broader education.  In particular the personal tutor can provide assistance with: 

  • Reading: including comprehension
  • Writing: including spelling; expressing thoughts; punctuation; form filling
  • Speaking: including expressing themselves clearly
  • Numeracy: including having a sense of number; counting; multiplication; and division; fractions and percentages; weighing and measuring; managing money: using a calculator; ability to tell the time
  • ICT: including use of computers; email; internet; mobile phones
